AFB is coming to Texas!

AFB is pleased to again be partnering with the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations for an October 27th event at the Houston Country Club. The event, “Investing in Change: The Global Growth of Impact Investing,” will include experts from the fields of finance and philanthropy talking about the world of impact investing, which aims to deliver a measurable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return. On Thursday, October 29th, AFB will be joined by the American Council on Germany and the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences at University of Texas-Dallas to present the inaugural Transatlantic Lecture. The topic for this event is “Global Security Threats in the 21st century” and our Featured Speaker will be Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering. Following Ambassador Pickering’s remarks, he will be joined by Dr. Jeffrey Fields of the Dornsife School of International Relations at University of Southern California and Dr. Todd Sandler of University of Texas-Dallas for a discussion moderated by Lee Cullum of NPR and North Texas Media.
