2016 Heidsieck Scholars

American Friends of Bucerius is proud to welcome the Arnold Heidsieck Scholarship recipients to the United States this fall. The Arnold Heidsieck Scholarship awards funds to support travel and living expenses to students in Germany who wish to study abroad in the States. It is an important aspect of the AFB mission to encourage international cooperation between the U.S and Germany, and it is our pleasure to support the exploration of American culture by German students.

We are very excited to announce this year’s Heidsieck Scholars, who will be studying at different universities across the country:

  • Antonia Kölbl- Visiting from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin to study at Bard College
  • Emilia Ulbricht- Graduated from Freie Universität Berlin, and will be pursuing an M.S in Journalism at Columbia University
  • Malte Radoy- Visiting from Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg to study at the University of Northern Colorado
  • Tobias Axmann- Visiting from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen to study at Oregon State University

These scholarships would not be possible if not for the Arnold Heidsieck Scholarship Endowment, and we would also like to acknowledge the ZEIT Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius for running the application process and selecting such outstanding students every year. If you are interested in supporting a student’s studies in the U.S next year, please contact us at scholarships@buceriususa.org.
