Bucerius Energy Day in Hamburg

American Friends of Bucerius pleased to announce the first transatlantic energy program – Bucerius Energy Day in Hamburg! Held at the beautiful Bucerius Law School campus, this event will bring together academics, policymakers, and industry groups, to discuss the implementation and regulation of smart grids and smart meters (Digitalisierung der Energiewirtschaft).

Professor Christian Pielow, Managing Director of the Institute for Mining and Energy Law at the Ruhr University Bochum, will open the Energy Day. The keynote speaker will be Günter Oettingen, previously the European Union Commissioner for Energy, and now the European Union Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society. The program will include another presentation and a panel discussion from a transatlantic perspective on smart grids and smart meters.
