Georg Mascolo Named New Director of Bucerius Summer School on Global Goverance

Georg MascoloHamburg journalist Georg Mascolo has joined the Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance, and will run the program together with Prof. Dr. Eberhard Sandschneider. In their roles, Mr. Mascolo and Prof. Dr. Sandschneider will lead the development and implementation of the prestigious program, and guide the young leaders who come from all around the world to participate. The summer school was formerly led by Prof. Dr. Sandschneider and Wolfgang Ischinger.
Georg Mascolo is the head of the research cooperation between NDR, WDR and Süddeutscher Zeitung. Before that he worked for the Spiegel Publishing House for almost 25 years, including as head of the Berlin office and as correspondent in Washington. From 2008 to 2013, Mascolo was Editor in Chief of Der Spiegel.
The annual two-week meetings of the Bucerius Summer School are aimed at training and supporting outstanding young professionals who focus on global issues. The ZEIT-Stiftung’s program brings them together for high-level exchange and networking.
